Outreach
St. John's is committed to improving the lives
of our neighbors in Charlestown, the greater-Boston community, and
around the world.
- St. John's sponsors and participates actively in the Arts in Action program, in conjunction with MissionSAFE.
- St. John's hosts an annual Open House for the Charlestown community.
- St. John's has sponsored community
events (including "Doggie Day"), hosted debates between candidates for
local political offices, and participated in ecumenical and
community-wide forums on faith.
The St. John's Parish House
St. John's has opened the doors of its Parish House to community groups, including:
- The Charlestown Cooperative Nursery School
- Convivium Musicum
- The Charlestown Chorale
- Shapenote Singers
- East Coast Gymnastics
- Alcoholics Anonymous
- Group Psychotherapy
