Where will You Find a Place to Grow?

Join us for all that is starting up again on Sunday, September 14th at  St. John’s. Singing, formation, worship, and a parish picnic. There is a place for you to grow in faith, love, and service.

The St. John’s Choir Begins
Our Adult Choir meets for its first rehearsal on Thursday, September 11 at 7:30 pm upstairs in the Parish House. Organist and Choirmaster Douglas Witte welcomes all those who have an interest in singing to come. The choir leads us in congregational song each Sunday at the 10 am service, as well as offering anthems and special music. They return to the choir loft on Sunday September 14th. For more information, contact Douglas at dnwitte@gmail.com.

The St. John’s Children Choir Begins – At a New Time
All children six and up are welcome to join the Children’s Choir, under the direction of Nancy Armstrong. They meet for the first time on Sunday, September 14th at 9:15 am upstairs in the Parish House. Learning techniques of singing and songs of faith, the Choir sings on an occasional basis at our 10 am service. For more information contact Nancy at nanarmstrong@brandeis.edu.

Godly Play and Living the Good News Classes Begin – At a New Time
Our two formation classes for children begin this Sunday, September 14th at a new time: 9:45. Starting at this time gives our teachers and students a full hour to explore the lessons of the day before they join us for Holy Communion at the 10 am service. Come even a little earlier this Sunday to register your children, and enjoy a cup of coffee before the service.

Our Renewed Fellowship Begins with a Parish Picnic after Church
After the 10 am service, stay for a picnic of burgers (veggie burgers included)  hot dogs and refreshments. If you would like, bring a side dish or salad to share if your name is A-M, or a dessert if your name is N-Z. But come regardless! There will be plenty of food for all.
